A Change of Pace

Last week some time I spent my evening with a good friend at a place known to Charlotte natives as "The Boardwalk". The atmosphere can be quite amazing some times considering there is a lake and several restaurants. Also you never know what kind of festivals or carnivals the city may be hosting on any given night. The events that made this night different were subtle but caused me to do a lot of reflecting.

The gentleman pictured here was playing his guitar for tips right inside the patio of the Mexican restaurant as we passed. We sat there, chatted a bit, and took some photos while enjoying the live performance. This had me thinking about how consumed we are by digital media. For must of us our audible stimulation comes from the various Apple products we own. So,  it was good to hear some live music for once. Especially with it coming from an unfamiliar culture. I did not understand a word of what he was saying but it was very natural and free flowing. Definitely a great way to cap the evening.

Fashion is the main component of the Pasture but the inspiration and influences of what we will be producing are rooted in things not related to fashion at all. The Pasture is beyond clothing and accessories. It is about embracing culture and gleaning from everyone and everything around you. We all have something to bring to the table that has the potential to be valued by others. The Pasture is ours. What's yours? - Dave.
