School, Work, and Beyond

This is Nikole! We have a few classes together for the summer school. I stopped her behind the School of Business one day before she was heading to work and asked for a photo. Often times people see summer school as an opportunity to "take some time off" from wearing "real clothes" but not Nikole. I do not know her reason for display such amazing style during the summer session however I do appreciate her for it! -Dave.

Amongst Fashion's Elite

This young lady's name is Shelby. She is a Charlotte area fashion writer who also attended Viva Moda this past weekend. Her outfit caught my eye because it was simple and elegant. Goes to show you don't have to be flashy to be fly. Turns out she was just recently listed as one of Charlotte's Top 25 Most Stylish by Charlotte Style Magazine. Amazing right? You never know who is in the room and that's why it is important to commune. -Dave.

Dope Graphics

Meet Jenny Mey! She is a Charlotte area graphic designer who we met at Viva Moda this past weekend. The graphics in her leggings were a very nice accent to her tank which led me to get this shot of her by the bar. We maybe using her services to help create the pocket square line so remember her face. You might see it again! -Dave.

Lore Emelio's Viva Moda: Photography and Fashion



On Saturday, May 19th, Steven and I attended Viva Moda: Photography and Fashion put on by Charlotte based designer Lore Emelio. It was a networking function for photographers, models, and designers to come together enjoy conversation and exchange information. The Saloon at the NC Music Factory in Charlotte played host; a great atmosphere that set the tone for such an amazing evening. The event also included a live back drop set up which allowed for some great photography and modeling to take place throughout the course of the event. We had an amazing night and met some amazing people. Team Work Makes The Dream Work

Although Steven and I usually are not far apart in terms of location we still conduct quite a bit of business via    e-mail, telephone, and text. So, when both of our schedules are clear we try our best to get up and work on the brand. Today, was an excellent work session as we entered the first phase of designs for our accessories. We may be able to squeeze something out by the fall but we will not rush it until things are just right so do not be surprised if we do end up with a spring launch date. A Change of Pace

Last week some time I spent my evening with a good friend at a place known to Charlotte natives as "The Boardwalk". The atmosphere can be quite amazing some times considering there is a lake and several restaurants. Also you never know what kind of festivals or carnivals the city may be hosting on any given night. The events that made this night different were subtle but caused me to do a lot of reflecting. 

Passion for Fashion

You may remember designer Elgin Phillips from our editorial about the New Designer Showcase that was on campus last month. I caught him on campus sporting this nice fit. His plum chinos are a good look and no socks with loafers was an excellent choice for the eighty degree weather we are getting. -Dave.

Edwin is always one well dressed chap and this day is no exception. The chino shorts are a good look for spring and the hand sewn pocket square is a nice touch as well. - Dave.
